Academy Of Country Music Announces 2021 Awards Show Date

The Academy of Country Music is looking ahead to 2021 as they have just announced the date of the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards.

The show is officially scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 18, 2021 and will air 8PM-11Pm ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network and will stream live and on-demand on CBS All Access. At this time, there is no word on if the show will return Las Vegas where it's normally held each year. Further details including host, performers, ticket sales and more will be announced in the coming months.

The news comes ahead of the 2020 ACM Awards, which was originally scheduled to take place on April 5 in Las Vegas. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the award show was rescheduled to take place for the first time ever in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, September 16.

The 55th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast from three iconic Nashville venues: the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House and the Bluebird Cafe.

"Now, more than ever, is the time to bring our community together to honor the best in our genre, and there is no more special place to do that than three of the most revered venues in Country Music," ACM CEO Damon Whiteside previously said. "A huge thank you to these historic venues and to the state of Tennessee and city of Nashville for all of the support in making this a reality!"

Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, Keith Urban is set to host the show. Fans can tune in to watch the 2020 ACM Awards live on CBS at 8 PM ET on September 16.
