WLU's Rozanc is MEC Special Teams Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Liberty’s Owen Rozanc was honored on Monday as the Mountain East Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week.

   The junior kicker from Sheffield Lake, Ohio handled the kicking and punting duties for the Hilltoppers on Saturday as they evened their early-season recordat 1-1with a 38-6 thrashing of Alderson Broaddus in Philippi.

   Rozanc drilled a 42-yard field goal and converted all five PATs to account for 8 of WLU’s 38 points. He also averaged 40 yards a punt while driving all four of his punts inside the AB 20 to set up a couple of short-field scoring opportunities for the West Liberty offense.

   The Hilltoppers are scheduled to host Wheeling on Saturday under the lights at West Family Stadium. Kickoff is set for6 p.m.
