Hilltopper Men Fall to NCAA Division I Red Flash

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to NCAA Division I St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday in a non-conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.

Coach Ron Hulewicz's Hilltoppers had to hit the comeback trail from the start after the visiting Red Flash swept all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.

The Pennsylvania squad went on to post straight-set wins in five of the six singles matches. Hilltopper senior Anton Schulz helped the hosts avoid the shutout by taking a 6-1 6-3 decision in his No. 3 singles match against Christian Banti.

The West Liberty men return to the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex Tuesday at 3 p.m. to host Salem (W.Va.) in another non-conference match.
