One man is dead, after RPD officers shot him in the 19th Ward last night.
Police say a man in his 30s was trying to break into a vehicle around 7:30 last night at Thurston Road and Ernestine Street.
And he allegedly ignored several orders to drop his handgun.
Captain Greg Bello says they're still going through evidence.
The state Attorney General's Office will investigate the shooting, as is standard when an officer causes a death.
No officers were hurt, and those officers involved are now on leave during the probe.
