Police in Providence and Pawtucket arrested six people during an illegal ride-out over the weekend.
Police say during the event around 100 people on dirt bikes, ATVs and other off-road vehicles hit the streets, blocking intersections, doing stunts and riding on sidewalks.
Five adults and a juvenile were taken into custody and police seized six ATVs.
Providence Mayor Brett Smiley says the Community Response Team is proactively working to keep the illegal vehicles off the streets using community tips, undercover work, social media tracking and video technology.
