President Trump has officially signed a historic peace deal between Israel and Gaza.

President Trump spoke during the signing ceremony, saying, "It's a tremendous day for the Middle East... and it's just an honor to be a part of it."

This comes after the last hostages captured during the October 7th attack in 2023 were finally released by Hamas, two years after the war began.

Now Israel and other Middle Eastern nations can begin negotiations with Gaza for long-term peace and a formal end to the war.

A key commitment of the Trump campaign was to work towards a peace deal in the Middle East, a promise that has now been fulfilled after just nine months in office.
