Lady Hilltoppers Release 2021-22 Hoops Slate
WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – Coach Kyle Cooper’s West Liberty University women’s basketball team will hit the ground running on Nov. 13-14 when they travel to Erie, Pa. to take on California (Pa.) and host Mercyhurst in the season-opening MEC/PSAC Crossover Challenge.
A road trip to Clarion (Pa.) follows on Nov. 17 before the home conference opener against Alderson Broaddus on Nov. 20. A trip to Notre Dame (Ohio) on Nov. 23 wraps up the pre-Thanksgiving schedule for the Black and Gold.
December will be a busy month for the Lady Hilltoppers. West Liberty travels to West Virginia Wesleyan on Dec. 1 before hosting Davis & Elkins on Dec. 4 and defending MEC champion Charleston on Dec. 8. After a Dec. 11 trip to West Virginia State, WLU wraps up its non-conference schedule with three straight home games – Ohio Dominican (Dec. 14), Bluefield State (Dec. 16) and Malone (Dec. 18) – before heading home for Christmas.
The West Liberty women tip off the second semester on Jan. 5 when they host Concord, beginning the two-month MEC grind leading to the 2021-22 MEC Tournament at WesBanco Arena (March 2-6).
Cooper will once again be joined on the sidelines by associate head coach Cassie Seth and assistant coach Robbie Bonar. Chris Bucon returns as the program’s Development Coordinator with Maxwell Fiedorczyk as student manager.
