Women's Soccer Falls at Fairmont State

FAIRMONT, W.Va. - Fairmont State scored a pair of first half goals and cruised past the West Liberty University women's soccer team, 2-0, this afternoon.

The Hilltoppers were outshot 17-2 and were unable to get a shot on goal all match. The Falcons put just three of the 17 on net and capitalized on two of those three opportunities.

Fairmont State scored in the 18th and 28th minute during a 10-shot opening half. West Liberty did not get a shot off in the first half.

Mia Zecca and Amelia Compston had the two shots for WLU in a three-minute span starting with Zecca's in the 53rd.

West Liberty continues its road trip with a match this Wednesday at Wheeling. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 pm.
