Playoff Football: Clear Fork's Season Ends After 1st Round Loss to Orrville

The Clear Fork Colts season came to an end on Friday, as their comeback fell short in the 4th quarter in a 35-28 first round playoff game at the Colt Corral on Halloween.

The Colts (6-5) jumped out first with a 2 yard TD run by Alex Schlosser to go up 7-0 in the 1st quarter. But, Orrville would score 3 straight times to take a 21-7 lead into halftime. The Red Riders got a 3 yard TD run from Parker Hostetler and QB Cam Craft threw 2 touchdown passes to 6'5 wide receiver, Braylon McDuffie. The final score came with :22 seconds per the half.

Orrville scored on a touchdown run by Hostetler to start the 3rd quarter to go ahead 28-7. The Colts would answer as Porter Schmidt had a touchdown just over halfway through the 3rd quarter.

The Red Riders would score again with just over 10 minutes left in the game and led 35-14 early in the 4th quarter.

However, Clear Fork would rally and score two times on a Marcus Hoeflich pass to Nash Evans and a TD run by Ben Campbell.

The Colts got the ball back and had a chance to tie the game, but a sack by Orrville helped them turn Clear Fork over on downs and the Red Riders held on for the win. Cam Craft accounted for 4 TDs ( 2 rushing and 2 passing) in the win. Orrville (7-4) now plays at Shelby (10-0) on Friday, Nov. 7th in the Regional quarterfinals.
