PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Audrey Tingle notched her second double-double of the season and six West Liberty women hit double-figures here Wednesday night in a 91-38 blowout of Alderson Broaddus at Rex Pyles Arena.
Trailing 8-6 midway through the first quarter, Coach Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (12-5, 7-4) finished the quarter on a 15-1 run and never looked back in finishing off a season sweep of the Battlers (6-7, 4-6).
West Liberty pushed the lead out to 43-17 at the half and carried a 65-29 advantage into the final 10 minutes on the way to a third straight win.
Tingle - the reigning MEC Player of the Week - became the first NCAA Division II woman to post multiple triple-doubles this season, stuffing the stat sheet with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
Corinne Thomas led West Liberty's six double-figure scorers with 20 points while Karly McCutcheon added 13 points and a career-high 8 assists. Molly Bauer contributed 11 points and 8 rebounds while going 5-for-5 from the floor, with Paige Julian and Grace Faulk tallying 10 points each.
Nyshae Weaver was Alderson Broaddus' lone double figure scorer with 14 points as the Battlers struggled through a tough shooting night, hitting just 11-of-57 (19 percent) of their shots from the floor.
The Hilltoppers will be shooting for their fourth straight win on Saturday afternoon when they return home to host Ohio County rival Wheeling. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside the ASRC.
