RI Delegation Announces 25-Million For Hybrid RIPTA Buses

Rhode Island lawmakers have announced a 25-million-dollar federal grant to help replace aging RIPTA buses with up to 25 new, clean energy buses.

The Federal Transit Administration is awarding the funding through the Low or No Emission Grant to promote cleaner, more energy efficient transit service across the country.

RIPTA's new electric bus fleet will provide modern, sustainable, and emissions-free transportation for riders.
