The Columbus Blue Jackets (33-21-10) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (39-20-4) 5-2 on Tuesday night at Benchmark International Arena. The Lightning dropped their second in a row and have now lost six of their last seven games.
Conor Garland scored twice, his second straight two-goal game for Columbus. The Blue Jackets have now earned points in their last seven games. Tampa Bay got a goal from Gage Goncalves in the first and J.J. Moser in the second in the losing effort.
The Lightning are next in action when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Red Wings is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday night at Benchmark International Arena.
