Over Two Dozen In Davenport Homeless After Flash Flooding

(Davenport, IA) -- The city of Davenport says around 20 properties were significantly damaged during Friday's severe weather.

Surveyors report that apartment buildings on 35th Street suffered the worst damage with three being deemed unsafe.

That leaves over two dozen residents homeless for the time being.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is issuing a disaster proclamation for Scott County making more state resources available for response and recovery.
