Schenectady is gearing up for its Summer Restaurant Week, set to take place from August 18 to 24. Over a dozen local restaurants will participate in this event, offering special prix fixe menus to attract diners and support local businesses. According to the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, lunch menus will be available for $20, while three-course dinner options will be priced at $30 or $40.
The event is organized by the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, in collaboration with local businesses, to boost awareness and revenue for the city's culinary scene. Restaurant Week has been a staple in Schenectady since its debut in 2006, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to explore the city's diverse dining options.
Jim Salengo, Executive Director of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, emphasized the importance of supporting local eateries, especially in light of challenges faced by the restaurant industry. "Schenectady Restaurant Week has always given a welcome boost of awareness and revenue to our local businesses," Salengo said.
The event promises to be a culinary highlight for the city, with participating restaurants showcasing their best dishes. Diners are encouraged to make reservations, as spots are expected to fill up quickly. For more details and a list of participating restaurants, visit the Discover Schenectady website.
