Just eight months into President Trump's second term, questions are already flying about who will replace him during the 2028 presidential race.

On the Republican side of the aisle, many are pointing to Vice President J.D. Vance as the obvious successor to President Trump.

For his part, Vance has yet to actually say whether or not he would pursue the office, but he has been asked about it, namely by Fox's Lara Trump.

In a Saturday interview with Vance, she asked, "A lot of people think that you will be running for president in 2028; can we expect that?"

Vance once again avoided answering the question directly, saying, "I don't like thinking about it because I like thinking about the job that I have right now."

He went on to say that he thinks the American people are fed up with politicians who get into one office just to start campaigning for the next one.

Vance did, however, hint that he would consider a run for the presidency, saying, "If we do a good job in 2025 and 2026, then we can talk about the politics in 2027."
