Provincetown is preparing the assist with hurricane relief for the island of Jamaica.
Town Manager Alex Morse says many people in the community have family and friends in Jamaica and they may be impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
Morse says the town knows that many residents are eager to help and officials will share verified ways to support relief and recovery efforts in the coming days and weeks.
Morse says the local Jamaican community is a valued and integral part of Provincetown and he's asking residents to keep those impacted by the hurricane in their thoughts.
