Family Member Could Face Charges In Brevard Teen's Death

(Titusville, FL) --Some details are out in the mysterious death of a Brevard County teenager on a cruise ship. Court filings were released yesterday into the death of Titusville 18-year-old Anna Kepner. She was found dead two weeks ago on the Carnival Horizon after it docked at Port Miami. The documents show a minor step-sibling is under investigation in Kepner's death. There's no word yet, though, on how she died or how the minor step-sibling could be involved. The FBI is investigating.

Student Claims She Was Strip-Searched At Brevard County School

(Titusville, FL) --A Brevard County family is suing the school district. The Dayton family filed a lawsuit last week against the district and the school board. They allege their 14-year-old daughter was strip-searched three times last year at Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne. The district says it does not strip search students, has never conducted strip searches and never will. The lawsuit also accuses the district of racial discrimination.   

Marion Teen Sentenced In AMBER Alert Hoax

(Marion Co., FL) --The Marion County teenager who's accused of faking his own kidnapping is sentenced to one year of house arrest. Seventeen-year-old Caden Speight texted his mother in September, claiming he had been kidnapped and shot. The incident prompted a Florida AMBER Alert. Speight will also perform community service, take a firearm safety class, and receive counseling. Additionally, his family has been ordered to pay nearly 25-thousand dollars in restitution.

Waymo Unveils Driverless Cars

(Miami, FL) --There may soon be a new futuristic way to get around Miami. Waymo introduced driverless cars in the city yesterday. So far, it's just for Waymo employees to use, but the company says it'll offer the service to the public next year. The cars rely on AI, GPS and cameras to get you safely to your destination. Waymo says the future of transportation is accelerating, and they are driving it forward with a commitment to quality and safety.
